(Don’t know if this is any good, but I would like to write songs for anyone I can… I wrote this myself… it came from a very intense moment in my life… so it was something always in the back of my mind & eventually it just came out… I can also write other songs about lots of different feelings & genres & can multitask styles if I have to… I started writing poetry at sixteen but had to turn to writing songs due to effects of scizhoprhrenia… I am 30… I should not have written this on the post probably but didn’t know if I would be taken seriously as I have not heard of sites like this ever bofore now… just decided to look it up on an engine search… if you want get in contact with me by email but I don’t know how this user interface works so don’t know how that would happen?

I just felt stupid for putting them on your thread cause I thought you were saying you wanted songwriters… I haven’t slept for awhile… I’m a pretty bad insomniac & I’m trying to cut down the alchohol so my head is WIDE awake… yeah, it is a consolation so thanks man… how’d you get into writing lyrics, if ya don’t mind me asking… or rather… why? I have talked to probable about a grand total of two people who even write lyrics in my whole life. I my world anyone who’s serious about music is like a monkey fighting for nuts amidst a sea of elephants… very few people I know understand the passion…

@Robert Birt:  I cannot beleive you posted that song and tried to pass it as your own.  That song was written and performed by the singer of a well-known group here in the USA called, get ready, “The Nixons.” If you have writing talent, please do not hesitate to show it off, but never plagiarize - it only makes you look stupid and it takes away from your credibility.

@Robert Birt:  And by the way, the name of the song is “Sister” not “Overwhelming beings”, AND the line reads overwhelming feelings not beings.  I know all this because I heard this song when it came out on the radio for the first time 10 years ago and I dedicated it to my sister.

Thanks man, yeah, I found out not long ago… was in a strange state of mind at the time as I said… and wondered whether it was in my head or in real life I heard… 13 years ago to precise and hadn’t heard it since… Heard it now online and without the Net I never would have… It’s a cool song… It’s by the Nixons.. Just glad I got to hear it again… Mind you I did a pretty good job of recalling it for a twelve year time lapse and the fact I was psychotic at the time… I only heard it the once till a few months ago… Oh well, honest mistake, at the time I was nuts and wondered why a wild song like that would go unplayed on the radio for so long here… Now I know huh. I wasn’t trying to act like I created it dude, if you read what I wrote properly, I said I wasn’t sure whether it was a memory or a mirage in my head… So, yeah, no offence intended, if you had stood in my shoes and in my head back then, you would understand my confusion about it and if I had heard it again afterwards I would’ve known wouldn’t I… It became a special song for me too and cause I only heard it once and didn’t know where to find out about it or what it was called… it was my way of hearing it again… Trying to remember after only hearing it once aint as easy as you think… For the record, his song and words are much better and the ones I got right was where my memory served me better and that’s all… no big deal. I’ve written thousands of songs, some good and some bad… no wonder this was the best I had, it wasn’t mine to begin with… Stranger things do happen and for the state of mind I was in, don’t surprise me… at the time I was hallucinating and delusional… Since I never heard it again… It always made me wonder… was it a real song or in my head… and you must admit it has that real out there, deep and heavenly quality of sound and song about it… It reminds me of my nana… So yeah, no offence intended… If I had heard it before I wrote it in here, I would never have claimed it mine… but that version I wrote was all from memory, I did not write it from knowing it bar that once I heard it… Crazy but true, you may call me insane but I am sane compared to what I was then… anyhow… That’s my disclaimer, believe it or not but I’m sure it don’t matter anyhow… It’s true though.

I can’t believe it either, hehe… s*** happens… read the above… wasn’t intentional… Man, you’re all so sure I did it deliberately… As I said, read the above it’s true but for the record… why would I give a s*** whether you think I can write my own songs or not… I have plenty of my own songs and my own talent to prove it… By the way, I do have another song on this site somewhere, purely my own… Under some log in name I’ve forgotten, so I will look up the thread and be back with the Thread name and song title… and that one is all mine baby; not the greatest song in the world but by far not the worst… I can do better… The Nixons song rules… so yeah, don’t all get you’re knickers in a twist… by the way, if you don’t believe I can write for myself, go type in www.poetrypoem.com/dawnsoldier.. That will be my poetry you see and it got selected in the select poetry page out of thousands and thousands of poems… There’s you’re proof if you really have to have it… Or maybe it would be easier if you don’t if you really need someone to prop yourself up and make yourselves feel better… That’s all she wrote folks… I had to say it, man… My bad, but don’t think you know a persons honesty and motivation if you really don’t … As I said… I wrote that Nixon so purely out of my memory and at the time I was so nuts I was out of the stratosphere… It touched me and it was my way of hearing it again… Since that was 12 or so years after I heard it once that is not bad anyhow… I couldn’t know it was mine or not at the time I was seeing and hearing things for crap sake… Things that weren’t really there… Okay, now I can forgive myself, if that’s alright.… s***, crucify a man why don’t ya. By the way, I wrote a message to Zac Maloy who I found out was the dude who wrote it and apologized for borrowing his song in a most unorthodox and unintentional and crazy way… Least it was in my heart just like it was with you guys… His song is wild - I am absolved, whether you think I did it on purpose or not… It’s still a wild song… Makes no difference to me… Never quite felt like mine anyhow and now I know why.… Can’t be any more honest that this anyhow… it’s all the truth and nothing but the truth… And you can take that to court and all… :) Bye now.
